We are looking for a temporary Claims Handler to join the Claims Team, within Finance for 6 months starting mid January 2009.

The main objective of the role is to provide assistance to the Claims Manager to ensure that the department runs efficiently, smoothly and all matters handled in a timely and robust manner, with a focus on the provision of claims support services.   Main duties to include:- Handling of claims as directed by the Claims Manager. Independently handle basic claims. Represent the department at meetings on related claims matters, both internally and externally. Liaise with external parties including lawyers, insurers, loss adjusters, etc. on claims matters.Undertake training, both on the job and using external sources to gain experience and ability to handle gains independently.
